For the instructions below, USERNAME is the FTP username found in your cPanel FTP Accounts section. Like info, sales, fred, sally, etc.
Anywhere you see YOUR_DOMAIN, replace it with your domain and extension. Like frammer.com, whistlebit.info, etc.
- Download and install CoreFTP on your computer if you haven't already done so.
- Open CoreFTP and click on the "Site Manager" button in the main window.
- In the "Site Manager" window, click on the "New Site" button.
- Enter a name for the site in the "Site Name" field.
- Enter the following information in the "Host" field: ftp.YOUR_DOMAIN
- Enter the following information in the "Username" field: USERNAME@YOUR_DOMAIN
- Enter your FTP password in the "Password" field.
- Select "FTP" as the protocol and enter 21 in the "Port" field.
- Select "Normal" as the login type.
- Click "Connect" to connect to the FTP server and finish setting up the connection.
